On the first day, 150 wine professionals between someliers and wine shops were brought together to taste this Gran Reserva Wine of Pérez Pascuas. Next day, 50 wine journalists wrote down what this unique and genuine wine represents within the national and international market. Everybody agreed on Pérez Pascuas Gran Selección is a wine with international renown with previous vintages of Pérez Pascuas 90, 91, 94, 95, 96 and 99 had reached prestige in the viticulture world based on an impeccable quality and regularity path. The grapes to make this wine come from the oldest vineyards and yields are very low, just 1.5 kg per vine, and as a result grapes are excellent. "With a very cared vinification process and keeping under the control up to the smallest detail, it has been achieved an genuine, concentrated,complex and terroir wine with a long life ahead" Pérez Pascuas Brothers said. "This vintage will bring us so much happiness, it will get better in bottle, in particular this wine, more than 15 years of life ahead. A gorgeous wine from a unrepeatable harvest" they concluded. Pérez Pacuas- Gran Selección- Gran Reserva reached on the american market 300 dollars per bottle and a scored of 97 out of 100 points on the prestigious magazine Wine News. All the wine professionals had the opportunity to taste: Viña Pedrosa Crianza 2004 and Reserva 2003, as well, and being all of them described as wonderful wines. |
