TOP SCORE FOR VIŅA PEDROSA GRAN RESERVA 2000 IN THE PRESTIGIOUS DECANTER MAGAZINE
DECANTER magazine, in its July 2007 edition, has published the results of the Ribera del Duero tasting.
John Radford, writer of the article and incharge of the tasting gives the Viņa Pedrosa Gran Reserva 2000 *****, being the highest score possible by the magazine.
Radford describes the wine as: "Big, very fresh fruit lovingly made, fully mature but still growing. Up to 2015"
In the same number he publishes an interview with Jose Manuel Perez, eonologist of Bodegas Hnos. Perez Pascuasand father of this wine., who describes the enthusiasm of the Ribera del Duero, saying that there are currently 20 wineries quening for "inscription". Regarding the 2006 vintage, Jose Manuel says: Itīs a year where the moment of the piching has had a big influence on the final quality of the product. At Perez Pascuas we were very careful and waited for the phenolic maturation. The biggest part of the harvest come in around 27th of September and before the rianfall in October, which had a damaging effect.
