AMERICAN AMBASSADOR IN SPAIN, EDUARDO AGUIRRE, SAYS GOODBYE TO PÉREZ PASCUAS BROTHERS.
Emotive farewell of “The greatest ambassador” of Ribera del Duero wines at Pérez Pascuas Brothers Winery.

Many years have gone since Eduardo Aguirre first visit to Pérez Pascuas Brothers Winery. He had just landed in Spain, a friend and a big allied country which shares strong historical, cultural and linguistic bonds with U.S.A.

“I tryed Viña Pedrosa wines when I was in USA, and once I was appointed American Ambassador in Spain, I promised myself : As soon as I will be free I will be visiting Pérez Pascuas Brothers facilities. I shared an unforgettable harvest cutting grapes bunches and trying the first grape juices of the season, a unique experience I will never forget” Aguirre states.
Since that first meeting, Eduardo Aguirre and Pérez Pascuas Brothers have shared Viña Pedrosa wines around the table so many times. “ I must say I have lots of things in common with Pérez Pascuas brothers, and that has made that for these years I have lived in Spain a strong friendship has been born. They are like brothers and I feel at home when I stay in their winery.” Says Eduardo Aguirre.

Eduardo, a part from being an excellent person with a brilliant professional career, He knows very well “Spanish treasures”, and amongst them, good wines. “ I am an uncoditional Pérez Pascuas wines supporter. Cepa Gavilán and Viña Pedrosa wines are two of my favourite wines, and Finca La Navilla, the new wine made by the brothers has surpised me a lot , this new creation is fresh, powerful and elegant. And for very special occasions always Pérez Pascuas Gran Selección, “the star wine” of the winery.” Stresses the American ambassador.
It is important to point out that Eduardo Aguirre was appointed Cofrade de Honor by la Cofradía del vino de La Ribera del Duero, a distinction which means defend tooth and nail wine excellences of Ribera del Duero.

After four years as ambassador of EEUU in Spain, Eduardo Aguirre closes a stage of his life where he has made great friends and lived unforgettable experiences, and one of these unforgettable experience has been the awarding of La Gran Cruz de Isabel La Católica as gratitude for his efforts to build a strong relationship between Spain and EEUU.

Last Saturday, January 3th , Eduardo Aguirre, his wife, Teresa, together with rest of the American Embassy team, once more visited Pérez Pascuas family in Pedrosa de Duero to say goodbye to all of them and thank to them for the fabulous moments lived all together always “watered” with Viña Pedrosa, Cepa Gavilán and Finca La Navilla. “ Now I can tell everybody that behind Viña Pedrosa wines there is a lovely family, and I could not leave Spain without saying goodbye to them all” Eduardo says.

“See you soon, we will meet again at the winery and drink a toast with a bottle of Pérez Pascuas Gran Selección wine” were the words use by American amabassador minutes before he left the winery.
