A DAY OF “EXTREME CHALLENGE” AT VIÑA PEDROSA
The popular and main star of the program “Extreme Challenge”, Jesús Calleja visits Bodegas Hnos. Pérez Pascuas.

Jesús Calleja, tireless traveller, nature and risk sports lover, He has just arrived from Nepal, a very special place for him. “There are many things which join me to this magic land, but the most important one is the excited humanitarian project to help children from Nepal, without any doubt this is the most important challenge of my life” says Jesús.

Jesús Calleja excellent wine lover knows very well the wines of this historical region, He has found a gap on his busy engagement book to know how Pérez Pascuas brothers make some of his favorite wines, Viña Pedrosa. Winery tour has helped Jesús to improve his wine knowledge. Jesus has travelled wideworld, and during some of his expeditions has seen surprising vineyards and enologist techniques in remote places, “I must say that Pérez Pascuas vineyard and their winery is the unmistakable result of lots of wine passion and experience. Now I know Viña Pedrosa secret to make exceptional quality wines”.

Viña Pedrosa Finca La Navilla wine, a “height wine”, fresh, powerful and elegant astonished him.” It is a lingering wine, sweet aftertaste, intense aroma and very velvety on the palate” states Calleja.

Pérez Pascuas Gran Selección 1999, a masterpiece of Pérez Pascuas family, a limited edition of 8.890 bottles. By coincidence, the total number of bottles is around the altitude of the Everest, 8.850 metres.

“I do not have to describe this glorious wine, Pérez Pascuas Gran Reserva Gran Selección, but I will drink it to celebrate the next peak summit in Himalaya” stressed Jesus leaving Viña Pedrosa winery.
