The wine is coming from a plot called "La Navilla", situated in the same estate where the winery is located, and facing a very optimum south west position.

It is an exceptional terroir, where the authentic clone of Tinto Fino grafted from the old vineyards of the Pérez Pascuas brothers, reaches its maximum extent an singularity.

A privileged altitude of 844 m. over sea level, leads to a very special microclimate. The big differences between the day and night temperatures are fundamental to obtain fresh and well balanced wines.

The harvest was done by hand the 4th of October of 2004, following a vinification process with knowledge to keep all the excepcional qualities of the grapes of this excellent vintage.

The Viña Pedrosa - La Navilla possesses the originality of a very special and sublime wine.

This wine is the result of choiced grapes from vines over 60 years old. Mauro Pérez was born surrounded by the vines of Pedrosa de Duero. A wise man with a deep love of his land, he tilled the vineyards and planted vines that today are the source of this unique wine.
The old wise, crooked vines in the Valtarreña Estate, filled with many virtues acquired throughout their long life, produce grapes of exceptional quality.

This is "The Family's wine". Its supreme quality is its highest exponent. Beautiful, very intense, lively colour. Complex aroma,blending primary notes of red currants and liquorice with numerous spicy and mineral hints. A very wide wine, voluptuous and well-balanced.
Ripe tannins, ample and firm. The magic of the terroir and an outstanding vinification worthy of praise for the difficulties its making entailed, place this wine at the summit.
What fullness of nuances! Grandiose, with an inmense potential in the bottle. A yield of barely 18 hectolitres per hectare was obtained for this wine.

A rational and demanding viticulture and a brilliant vinification have led to this Viña Pedrosa, which brings together all those virtues found only in great wines: meaty, sumptuous and characterful, with abundant fruit, glycerine, tannins and toasted oak.

An exuberant wine with a deep, ruby-red colour. Clearly distinguishable aromas of fresh fruit underscored by notes of cedar wood and liquorice with a most elegant mineral touch.

Powerful and enveloping in the mouth with a very long finish. To be served over the next 6- 8 years. A successful wine with which this bodega shows off its "firm foundations".

An enormous wine made only from the best vintages, intense ruby-red with purple hues, with aromas that bespeak new casks: spices, smoke, liquorice and light hints of truffles. Noble tannins with concentrated, very intense flavours resulting from grapes picked at their optimum point of ripeness in the estate's most select plots.

Will develop beautifully over the next 10 - 12 years.
